Dance Teachers
Francesca Ruini
Francesca has been teaching Ballet since 1996 and she is currently available to teach lessons. Francesca has helped hundreds of students improve their ballet technique; understanding how to better use their bodies as dancers and believing in their potential. Francesca received her training at the Ecole Superieure de Danse De Cannes Rosella Hightower in France. As an expert in Ballet, Pointe, Floor Barre and Stretching Francesca looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Francesca's teaching style is fun, precise, nurturing and inspiring. Francesca has trained many students over the years who have been accepted to Summer Programs at the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet and more. Some of her dancers have also participated in the Youth America Grand Prix
Sophie Friend
Sophie Friend is a local choreographer from Cape Cod, and has recently started teaching classes at the Academy of Performing Arts! She's worked with Nauset Regional High School's drama department and the Academy Playhouse for almost 2 years now, and she's so excited to offer another dance class through the Academy!

Steve Gregory
Guitar, Ukulele, Rock Band, Bass Guitar, Drums, Improvisation, Electronic Music, Score Music Owner
Steve Gregory has a Bachelors in Music / classical guitar from Rhode Island College and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston to study jazz composition. He started teaching at Score in 2006 and purchased the studio in 2013. Steve currently plays guitar and sings with the Cape Cod jazz / pop duet, Two Cool. He is the founder of the Cotuit Center for the Arts Ukulele Orchestra and is the Saturday Service Music Director at West Parish Church in West Barnstable.

Ethan Calouro

Ethan is a junior a Nauset Regional High School. After teaching himself a few instruments (guitar, bass, drums and piano) he took lessons under a private instructor. At the High School he has played in Concert Band, school productions and Jazz Band. Outside of school he plays with a number of groups at small local concerts and “busk” in Provincetown through the summer. He learned how to make his own electric guitars out of wood from a recent home renovation and pieces that the High School Woodshop had thrown away. He is currently applying to Music Schools overseas.

Sam Roderick
Sam Govoni Roderick has been an actor for over 25 years. She has worked under many different directors, studied acting, and has directed successful productions. She strongly believes in working with kids in a nurturing environment, and that anyone can be an amazing actor as long as they believe in themselves!!


Maya Smith
Maya Smith is a local Cape Cod actor who recently started teaching classes at the Academy of Performing Arts!
