SYNOPSIS:

Mortal Thoughts, from a screenplay co-written by Claude Kerven, follows two lifelong best friends whose lives unravel after the mysterious death of one woman's abusive husband. Told through a police interrogation that unfolds in flashback, the story follows Cynthia as she's pressed to recount the events leading up to the killing, each version peeling back another layer of what really happened. Originally a 1991 film starring Demi Moore, Glenne Headly, and Bruce Willis, praised for its tense, non-linear structure and unflinching look at friendship under pressure, it now comes to the stage in a new adaptation directed by Kerven himself, at the Academy Playhouse's Black Box Series this November.​
