Drama Club for Middle Schoolers

Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm; Grades 6-8 
 
Discover your own creative outlet with theatre! Through a highly interactive course to build self confidence on and off the stage. My goal is for all of my students to feel comfortable and confident and know that my classes are a space in which they can feel safe and have fun with acting. My lessons are always tailored to my individual students, depending on where you are in your own acting journeys. We will be focusing on well thought-out monologue selections that are appropriate for auditions and best suit each specific actor. We will cover character study, and motivation- the why, what, where, when, who, and how’s of our characters, as well as movement and gesture work, voice work, and character development. We will be doing scene studies, and diving into the skill of cold readings at mock auditions.
